"Belief” | by Marshal Athletic Club
There are two core pillars that must anchor any journey self-belief and consistency. These aren't occasional mindsets, they must be consistently integrated into your daily training. A case can be made for which is more important, but without either no progress will be made. When a foundation is built on deep belief in one's abilities and unwavering courage to take on the unknown, progress becomes inevitable. Any obstacle or setback placed in the path of someone who holds these traits means nothing, resilience becomes second hand to someone with so much self-belief, because they are fully aware of the power inside of them.
Persistence stems from belief.
Results stem from belief.
The chance of success in anything is measured by one's self-belief.
How does one gain so much confidence?
Always take the hard way out:
Doubt is cured through action. Anyone can do things the easy way and come up with excuses to not do something. But not everyone takes the path of most resistance, that's where the edge comes from. Over train, over work and over prepare. Be ready for any situation that may arise, especially the most difficult. Make training the hardest it can possibly be. Taking the time to train through weaknesses and overcome obstacles is when the doubt disappears, proving that anything difficult is only temporary and can be worked through. All it takes is proof. And to be shown what it is possible.
Have integrity:
Integrity means always delivering on any promises, ones made to others but most importantly promises with one's self. Breaking self promises is the biggest way to destroy confidence. It shows lack of integrity and ultimately no care of the power in ones words or actions. Always show up and always follow through. That builds confidence.
Combine the person who always takes the path of most resistance, with one who always shows integrity, now that is someone to fear.
If it’s unbreakable confidence you want, go out and earn it. Each hour you dedicate - chipping away at those 10,000 hours - it’s not just training; it’s building a steady upward trajectory of performance. Not only are you gaining confidence but you are also committing to the process and to yourself.
